The term of the Academic Advisor coincides with the beginning and completion of each student\u2019s postgraduate studies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-contrast-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-contrast-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-cdd3ff336ffda6df8ef2eff2e1ec72d5\" style=\"color:#050505;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">The Academic Advisor is responsible for providing information and guidance to postgraduate students, and his\/her duties include, among others:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide are-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d1b39a87a5257be83012815ff8909df9 is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"color:#0d0d0d;flex-basis:50%\">\n<ul style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">Informing postgraduate students about the structure of the Study Programme and the objectives of the Master\u2019s Programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">Providing guidance, in collaboration with the teaching staff of the Master\u2019s Programme, during the selection of the Master\u2019s Thesis topic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">Informing postgraduate students about the prospects offered by the Master\u2019s Programme both in terms of research and their professional development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">Identifying the needs and interests of postgraduate students, and supporting their aptitudes and skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">Facilitating the contact of postgraduate students with the university authorities, administrative bodies and services (such as Student Welfare, Career Office, Counselling and Psychological Support Unit, Internship Office, and the Department of International Relations \u2013 Erasmus+).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500;flex-basis:50%\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-23a963fa380be2b33f8fd06b1e6d22f3\" style=\"color:#070707;margin-top:0;margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);margin-bottom:0;margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">\u2022 Informing postgraduate students about the use of the Department\u2019s facilities (e.g. Library, Laboratories, Secretariat).<br>\u2022 Providing guidance on pursuing doctoral studies within the Department, and more broadly in Greece and\/or abroad.<br>\u2022 Exploring professional prospects (opportunities in the public or private sector, self-employment, or positions abroad).<br>\u2022 Informing postgraduate students about applying for scholarships and participating in ongoing or upcoming research projects pursued by the Department of Philology.<br>\u2022 Informing postgraduate students about the Department\u2019s academic activities (conferences, workshops, lectures) and outreach initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-05a46ac602b81d1967b4ed4ae3c3312d\" style=\"color:#060606;margin-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:normal;font-weight:600\">It should be noted that the role of Academic Advisors is supportive and advisory. Postgraduate students are expected to inform their Academic Advisor of their decisions.
