The thesis is written in Greek. Writing the thesis in another language is subject to the restrictions set out in Article 4 of the Master\u2019s Program Regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> According to paragraph 2 of Article 12 of the Regulations of Postgraduate Programs at the University of Ioannina (Government Gazette B\u2019 4942\/07.08.2023):\n\"The commencement of the Master\u2019s Thesis (M.Th.) takes place after the student has attended all courses of the program and has successfully passed the corresponding examinations.\" <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The thesis must be individual, original, and research-oriented. It should be prepared in accordance with the writing guidelines and academic requirements published on the Master\u2019s Program website. The topic of the thesis must fall within the scope of the Master\u2019s Program \u201cAncient Texts and Modern Readings.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the beginning of the third semester, the postgraduate student submits a request to the Secretariat of the Master\u2019s Program, indicating the proposed supervisor. The Assembly of the Department of Philology at the University of Ioannina appoints the supervisor of the Master\u2019s Thesis, who also proposes the title of the thesis. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Examination Committee, which must consist of at least three members, is appointed by the Assembly of the Department upon the recommendation of the supervisor. One of the committee members must be the supervisor. All members of the committee should have the same or a related academic specialty as the Master\u2019s Program or be relevant to the topic of the Master\u2019s Thesis. Committee members may belong to one of the categories listed in paragraph 1 of Article 5 of the Master\u2019s Program Regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Master\u2019s Thesis is evaluated by the three-member Examination Committee based on the following nine (9) criteria:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scope of the Topic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Title and Abstract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Theoretical Background \/ Literature Review<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Methodology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conclusions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Style and Accuracy of Writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formatting and References<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u03a4\u03b7\u03bd \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03bf\u03c1\u03b9\u03ba\u03ae \u03c0\u03b1\u03c1\u03bf\u03c5\u03c3\u03af\u03b1\u03c3\u03b7.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The final grade of the thesis is calculated as the average of the passing grades awarded by the examiners. The grading scale ranges from 0 to 10, with passing grades being 5 and above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-39dfe253232855fe7d873cffe483e159 is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\" style=\"color:#010101;padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:600\">The use of any supporting material, including the candidate\u2019s own previous work, without proper citation, is subject to the disciplinary penalties outlined in paragraph 2 of Article 17. Any breach of academic integrity is referred to the Master\u2019s Program Committee (MPC) for evaluation and recommendation for action to the Department Assembly.
