Quality Policy

The Master’s Program Ancient Texts and Modern Readings of the Department of Philology, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) and the University’s competent services, has aligned its Quality Policy with that of the University of Ioannina.
The Quality Policy of the Master’s Program Ancient Texts and Modern Readings encompasses the following dimensions:
- A commitment to ensuring sufficient human, technical, and financial resources, with the aim of putting Quality principles into practice and supporting the character of the Master’s Program, which operates without any further financial support.
- Implementation and utilization of all compliance recommendations made by natural or legal entities, following any external evaluation and/or accreditation procedures of the Master’s Program, in accordance with the standards of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), as well as those of academic, professional, and/or excellence organizations.
- Enhancement of teaching quality through further strengthening of the student-centered character of the Master’s Program, so that learning outcomes foster critical thinking, freedom of expression, democratic ethos, the principles of equality and fairness, tolerance, respect for diversity, social and environmental awareness, and a spirit of collaboration among the students of the Department.
- Enhancing the participation in and monitoring of the Master’s Program by individuals belonging to vulnerable and disadvantaged social groups, and in particular persons with disabilities, through ensuring access to teaching and services.
- Enhancement of the implementation of student complaint management
- Further development of extroversion (at international, national, and local level) and additional enhancement of the study experience through the research produced.
- Increase (both quantitatively and qualitatively) of the published research output.
- Strengthening of Transnational Cooperation Programs aimed at increasing student and staff mobility.
- Development and strengthening of collaborations between the Master’s Program Ancient Texts and Modern Readings and Master’s Programs of other Departments and Schools of the University of Ioannina, as well as with Schools and Departments of other universities in Greece and abroad.
- Supporting students from vulnerable social groups by providing scholarships and strengthening student welfare services.
- Developing a collaboration policy to better connect with the labor market and make use of the experience of the Master’s Program graduates.
- Pursuit of (both competitive and non-competitive) international and Greek/European research programs.
