International Dimension of the Master’s Program

- The Master’s Program "Ancient Texts and Modern Readings" keeps students regularly updated on the latest developments in Classical Philology.
- The Program seeks to generate and share high-quality research through international and national conferences, seminars, participation of students and faculty in European and Greek research programs (both competitive and non-competitive), and by inviting scholars from universities and research centers in Greece and abroad
- Establishment of the international conference IConiC (Innovative Contributions in Classics), organized every three years by the Department of Classical Philology and its Master’s Program at the University of Ioannina.
- A new series of monographs and edited volumes, bearing the same name, has been established with the internationally renowned publisher Brepols:https://www.brepols.net/series/ICONIC).
A notable example of the Program’s commitment to outreach and encouraging postgraduate students to present their research is the nine International Symposia for Postgraduate and Doctoral Students held at the Department of Philology, University of Ioannina, up to 2025, under the auspices of the Master’s Program Classical Philology and the Department of Classical Philology.
