Online Learning Policy

- According to Article 12, paragraph 4, subparagraph 1 of the Regulations of Postgraduate Programs at the University of Ioannina (Government Gazette B’ 4942/07.08.2023), the organization of the educational process in Postgraduate Programs (M.A. Programs) may also be carried out using synchronous distance learning methods, either in part or in full, in accordance with European standards and specifications.
- The educational program of the Master’s Program “Ancient Texts and Modern Readings” of the Department of Philology at the University of Ioannina is conducted in person on the Department’s premises.
- However, exclusively in cases of force majeure or exceptional circumstances, as stated in Article 12, paragraph 4, subparagraph 3 of the aforementioned Regulations, and as specified in Article 13.6 of the Master’s Program Operational Regulations, teaching may be conducted using synchronous distance learning methods. This distance learning portion must not exceed thirty-five percent (35%) of the total teaching hours.
- The 35% limit may be increased by a decision of the Department Assembly if required by educational needs and the specific circumstances of the Master’s Program.
